' WOOL PROFITS CLAIM. Sydney, sept. 25. The further hearing has commenced in the High Court of the case in which the John Cooke Proprietary of Melbourne and T. A. Field, of Sydney, acting for the fellmongers, are claiming from the Central Wool Committee a division of the profits on the oversea sales of skins and wool during the war. The case involves about £3,500,000. SYDNEY WOOL SALES. SYDNEY, Sept. 23.
The new season’s wool sales have commenced. There was a large attendance of buyers, and competition was keen, but the clips were not up to the standard of previous years.
