Pollards are presenting a strong bill of fare at the Princess Theatre tonight, when Clara Kimball Young will he seen in her latest seven reel feature entitled “Charge It,” and Larry Senior! is starred in a two reel comedy “The Stage Hand.” A Pathe Gazette will also be shown. Adversity, more commonly known as “the school of hard-knocks” is often a blessing in disguise. Julia Lawrence, wife of a prosperous financier found no happiness in wealth and comfort. Gorgeous diamonds and extravagant clothes satisfied her eye, but left her heart void and empty. Clara Kimball Young, the principal character of her latest photopiny “Charge It” has a lesson to teach to every one of us who makes gold the goal of life. After tasting all the pleasures that money can buy, she realises that she was happier without wealth than with it, She rejects the superior social position that her husband has brought her by marriage, and leaves the brilliance arid dazzle of the rich to retire to the humble life of a working girl. Earning her living by the toil of her hands she finds true contentment. Her vanity and pride disappear with adversity, and she learns to appreciate the money that she is paid after working hard for it.
