The Federal Court at Chicago g anted a temporary injunction replacing the restraining order granted to Mr Dougherty against the railway strikers, with modifications, allowing the unions uso their funds for sick benefits and cases of necessity; also permitting meetings cl Unionists when there was no conspiracy to obstruct Inter-State Commerce. It now appears that if Government wishes a permanent injunction it' will have to ask "for another hearing and call witnesses to substantiate the charges against strikers.
