The attendance was good throughout and competition strong, especially from Home trade, with good support from the Continent, though Germany bought less than usual. for blanket trade, and with scoured closed about 5 per cent, to 10 per cent dearer.

Average closing prices were 60 to G l’s (merino). Is 4d to 2s Id; sG’s (super half-bred) Is 3d to 1-s 8d; 50’s (half bred) lOd to ls‘; 48’s (fine crossbred), 9Jd to lOJd; 44 to 46’s (medium crossbred). 7d to 8)d; 36 to 10’s (coarse crossbred 6pi to 7J cl per lb. The total offerings consisted of 128,000 bales of which 105,000 Colonial and 12,000 South American .wore sold, Continental buyers taking 42,000 and American buyers 3000. The next London series commence on October 10.
