' PARI. Sept 20. The Australian Press Geneva correspondent states tlie Australian. New Zealand, Canadian and South African delegation here sent a joint telegram tn the Hon l.loyd George asking him to appeal to the Council of League to •intervene in the Near East crisis. Sir J. pbole informed the Australian press Association that they did not urge the League to intervene*, because the Persian, .Swedish and Greek elelt’gnlions had already done so, before lie received Mr Hughes’ cable;. Tim proposal was referred to the* political commission. Sir J. Allen .Sir J. Cook, and Mr Rich said they were satisfied the mandate report in a revised form would be adopted without dissent.
