, There was excellent weather for the final of the Amateur anil Professional Golf Championships. For the morning round, a large crowd attended to see the Duncan and Horton match, which was characterised by the steadiness of the former rather than by brilliance.

Duncan became champion for the 9th. time by 10 up nnd 9 to play. The scores of the professionals in the morning were Ham 80, Shaw 84. Ham ivas left 2 up and 1 to piny. Shaw’s afternoon round took 76, and Ham’s 78.
