Young considered free clinics had - not been an entire success, because such a large proportion of patients cons. ;1 cl treatment before they were cured. He recommended the adoption of the Pennsylvanian system, in which there is compulsory treatment. This treatment should he for a period not exceeding six 0 months. Notification should lie only ‘ made' use of when the patient omits to attend for treatment before a cure is e obtained. The giving of a wrong name 1 or address should he made a penal of--4 fence.
