HOKITIKA V. KEEFTON

Tho game between Hokitika and Floe ft on ladies was played on Saturday afternoon in good weather on the Keefton rac'd,illrse before a large crowd of spectators. From the bully off the local’s superior combination outwitted the visitors, hut over eagerness spoilt many chances by offside play. A good passing rush saw Keefton find the net Keefton 1, Hokitika 0. Hokitika rallied, lint from a corner hit Keefton cleared and rushing down the field netted their second goal. Keefton 2, Hokitika nil. Hiss Staple- I ton on the wing got away time and again, and many chances were spoilt ! through lack of support and over eagerness, of the forwards, Keefton rallied and from a combined forward rush found the net with a beautiful shot, Keefton 5, Hokitika, nil. Up and down play saw time called with no further alteration of the score, after a very fast and determined game, lfteefton’s superior combination and tact was too good for the visitors, who put up a splendid fight, Miss Stapleton played easily the best game of the day, Of the others, Misses M, Schroder, Fane, and T, Wallace played host. After the match, the visitors ware entertained at after-, noon ten nwl left nt 0 p.m, arriving) home at 11 p.m, after a very pleasant trip.
