Advice has been received of tho lira lb of Mr Thomas Known, which took place at Flomingtoii, Melbourne on June 27th. The deceased who was over 80 years of age. was a resident nf the Const in the early (lavs, working at Hokitkn rushes in 18(55 and following years, and at Burrvtown. and South Beach. From there lie sold out and went to Melbourne where lie has resided si Deceased was a brother of the late Mr Robert Keown of Ivarora. Greynumtli. Mr Thomas Keown of the Hokitika “Guardian” aeing a nephew. His wife died many •ears ago. One son and one daughter
