ARAHURA FAT STOCK SALK. For yesterday’s fixture at the- above yards a pen of 22 hoggets and 75 head of cattle were submitted to public competition there being a large at tendance of buyers. Prices showed considerable improvement on those of previous sales and though no very heavy cattle wei'e yarded the price per hundred ranged from 30s to 35s for ox beef and from 25s to 30s per hundred for cows and heifer beef. The best price of the day was for a four-year old huiioek fattened by Mr H. Karnhach of Kokatahi which made .£l4 2s Od. Messrs TV. .Jeffries and Co made the. following sales. On account Mr \Y. H. Karnhach. 22 light hoggets at 19s. On account of a client four hlks at £9 ss, two at £9. On account Mr M. Karnhach, one blk. at £l4 2.s Od, two at £9 2s Od. two at £8 17s Od, two at £3 7s Od, two at £8 ss, throe at £B. On account F. G. Williams and Soils, four hlks at £lO 7s (id, three at £9 7s Od, four at £9 ss, lour at ,£!) 2s (id. six at £9. six alt £8 17s Od. six heifers at £7 2s Od. two heifers at £0 7s Od, two heifers at £5 15s, two cows at £0 17s Od. one at £0 ss. live at £0 2s (id, two at £5 15s. two at £5 12s Od. Immediately after the stock sale several springers wore submitted to conipcititiun, hut bidding was very slack notwithstanding the quality ol the stock offered uas first class. ’I he

M. Houston and (o report: At the above sale yesterday our entry lonsistcd of 29 lat cattle and 95 fat sheep. There was a good attendance of buyers and competition was keen, beef realizing about. 31 Is and upwards per hundred. Sheep also sold will. IVe sold 04 fat sheep at 275, 31 at 27s 3d for a client; 3 hlks. at £9 7s Od. 3 at £lO. 4 at £9 15s. 0 at £9 ss, I at £l2. 2 heifers at £i Us Od, 1 cow at £3 Ids for Mr Win, Piedrichs.
