OBITUARY

[BY TELEGRAPH- —PER PRESS ASSOCIATION] DUNEDIN, Sept. 4. The death is announced at Milton, of -Atr Donald Reid, solicitor, a former Mayor and member of Parliament. V. G. DAY.

WELLINGTON, Sept. 4 The death is announced of Air A’. G. Day, for a number of years S.M. at various towns and latterly President of the Assessment Court. He was 64 years of age and came to New Zealand in 1879.

Deceased was for a number of years Registrar of Deeds and of the Supreme Court and also Magistrate and AVarden at Hokitika. He was then transferred to the East Coast where he has filled a number of important offices. Air Day leaves a widow and a family, of whom .Airs E. R. Mubin, of Greymouth, is a daughter.
