AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CARLE ASSOCIATION. FOOD RIOTS IN GERMANY. RERUN, Sept. 1. Extensive food riots have occurred at Berswnkle, in Brandenburg province. Mobs, incited by women, and enraged at tbe high prices, attacked the food shops, and tbe police were forced to fire on them. Tbe Chief of Police in Berlin, fearing that the food riots may spread to tincapital, has postponed a projected visit to New York.

A crowd of 4000, many whereof were women, vented their indignation at the high prices, by smashing windows and plundering shops.
