POLLARD'S PICTURES. “BITS OP LI PE” TO-NIGHT. Marshall Neilnn’s latest feature “Bits of Life” starring AVesley Barry, Lou Chaney, John Bowers, Noah Berry, Harriet Hammond, Rockliffe Fellowes, and Anna May AA r ong, heads the bill at the Princess Theatre tonight. “Bits of Life” i s screened in four episodes, each episode being adapted from a separate story, and the whole uniting in one general theme of powerful dramatic appeal. The stories adapted are Thomas McMorrow’sl “The Bad Samaritan,” AVal ter Trumbell’s “The Man AVho Heard Everything,” Hugh AA T iley’s “Hop” and “The Strange Adventure” an original story by Marshal Neilan. ‘‘Bits of Life” is a First National attraction. It is to be on e of the most interesting as well os the most hovel films of 111(1 season. “Freckles” (Wesley Barry) plays a good part in this big Marshal Neilan production, the supporting pictures are the latest Pathe Gazette, and a two-reel comedy. The orchestra will enliven proceedings by playing a tip-top programme of selections. The second episode of the serial “Hidden Dangers” unable to be shown last Thursday cvning, will be screened to-night.

“THE BLUE MOUNTAINS MYSTERY.” AVEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY NEXT. The eagerly-awaited, made in Australia picture, “The Blue Mountains Mystery" will be screened for the first time at. the Princess Theatre on Wednesday and Thursday next. Presented by the well-known Australian picture producers, E. J. and Dan Carroll, and made by the I). AV. Griffiths of Australia, Raymond Longford, it is claimed that this production represents the most ambitious undertaking in the history of picture production in Australia. Certainly no expense has been spared, and, unlike the majority of locally made pictures, this is a story of society life. The settings in a fashionable mountain hotel provide rich and luxurious interiors, including a remarkable ball-room scene, wherein the famous Ivy Shilling dances a delightful pas seul. “AA’hn killed Henry Tracy?” is the slogan, and mystery is the keynote of the plot; the unravelling of which holds the attention spellbound during the six acts Some of the most picturesque sights of the Blue Mountains and many quaint South Sea Islands spots are sed in the different environments. The dressing is said to be equal to the very best American and Continental modes, and the caste is absolutely the strongest that could be selected in Australia. This includes Marjorie Osborne (Mrs Henry Hill Osborne) Billy A\ illianis, A ivian Edwards, John Faulkner, and Lottie Lvell (the Doreen of the Sentimental Bloke). This attraction it is confidently anticipated will repeat its sensational Australian success. The box plans will be at Mclntosh’s shop next Theatre, and the prices are: Circle ”s ‘2d, stalls Is Bd. children Gd downstairs.
