FOOTBALL!

On Cass Square on Saturday after- 1 noon two interesting games will be played. The first is a schools match' between the Westport and Hokitika District High Schools. These schools games are always interesting, and on many occasions they young lads show far hotter football than those playing in the senior games. To-morrow’s match should prove a very attractive one. play will commence at 1.30 o’clock.

The second game to ho played is a senior competition one, between United and Excelsiors. This should also prove an interesting game and will have considerable result on the senior champion, ship. Play will commence at 3 o’clock and Mr A. Cutbush will be in charge of the. game.

Tile present position of the senior championship is:—Kokatabi 14, Excelsiors 13, United 11, Kiwi 10, Hari Hari fi, Kumara 3.
