AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION. GLOAMING’S TRAINING. (Received this day at 11.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, Aug. 31. Mason discounts the number of press reports extolling Gloaming’s gallops. He says they convey a. wrong impression as the performances are bettered by others whose' names are not featured. At the same time, Gloaming is progressing satisfactorily and he hopes it will be well forward a month hence. He expects it also to be in good trim for the meetings against Beauford in Chelford Stakes 6n 9th September. The remainder of the team are shaping well with the exception of Farceur, which is slightly lame.
