MR WILEORD AT DUNEDIN. DUNEDIN, Aug 28. Tho Hon T. Mi W-iUfiVd addressed a fairly- large meeting at- His Majesty’s Theatre this evening. He considered that the control of this coun-try-ivas in the bands of nine persons, Sir Walter- Euchana,ip Sir George Hunter .Sir Edwin Mitchelson, Sir Heaton, Rhodes, Sir Francis- Bell, Sir James’.Wilson, Sir George Clifford, Sir William Merries and Suv George Fen-.,-ick. These wore the men, be said, who controlled, the Reform Party in Parliament to-day. If they believed that tlio interests- of these men were the- interests of the people of this -country, well be did not. He severely jerHcised* tiw administration of tho HCn C: Parr- and quoted the Au-ditor-General's report in support of his content inn that the afFairs of the Education Department were not properly administered. Ho condemned! the Government: with regard to the Board of- Trade administration. They brought charges for trivial “Acmes and let trusts severely alone. With regard to immigration he contended that there was room for more people in this country, but: this was not the time to 'introduce- them; He, prophesised that -1 the Reform Party would lose at least sixteen seats at the general election. He received a vote ot thanks at the conclusion, of bis address. ,
