NELSON, Aug • 26. The hockey Shield match, Auckland v. Nelson was played this afternoon in beautiful weather. There was a large attendance. The play resulted in a drawn game, two all. Auckland thus retains the Shield. MASTER TON, Aug 27.
In the rep. hookey match yesterdfty, Wellington defeated Wairnrapa by 2 goals to one. The game tfus fairly even throughout, though the visitors showed more combination. WELLINGTON' Aug 27. At hockey yesterday Wellington (2) drew with Tfutt Valley (2).
