MISSION TO THIBET DELHI, Aug 25. A British Bhuddist mission is visiting Thibet with the object of obtaining a complete antropological knowledge), and to establish fraternal relations between Thibet and the rest of the Bhuddist world. It also considers the possibilities of establishing a Bhuddist university and hospital in Thibet.

CURRENCY DOWN CRASH. (Received this day at 9.50 a.m.) LONDON, August 25. Financial experts call attention to the fact that the Austrian kroner was nine months ago, and is now quoted at four hundred thousand, and point out that the, mark is rapidly approaching a condition in which it will he equally as useless as a medium of exchange, and a* a basis of taxation, so before long Germany will he unable to do any trade abroad, when it reaches that stage of depreciation and supplies of food and raw material are exhausted. The developments will be much more rapid, and infinitely more dangerous than in Austria, on account of the larger proportion of population engaged in industry in Germany and of political complications.
