POLLARD'S PICTURES. A FIHST NATIONAL FEATURE. MONDAY. “SERENADE.'’ A delightful story of the romantic days of Spanish glory, alive with tempestupijs jovo npd intrigue that characterises the Latin race—this is “Serenade” which commences at the Princess Theatre on Monday next. It is a R. A. Walsh First National production. One is swept along by the swiftly moving story, which grips the attention at the start and never allows it to relax. The settings are remarkably atmospheric and help to weave the spell which the picture casts over the spectator. Miriam Cooper displays versatility by giving an excellent performance as the senorita beloved by the eligible youth of Magdalena, and Walsh is a dashing lover. An excellent cost supports Miss Cooper and Mr Wal-h, including Bertram Grassby, .Josef Siyiekard, Noble Jojipspn. Adelberi Knelt and Tom Kennedy. The latest Pathe Gazette and a two-reel Christie comedy “Notjjing Jake it” will support this big First National Attraction and the orchestra will play some new selections.
