From Inspector of Fisheries forwarding five cases of salmon eggs for hatching at Lake Knnieri and distribution in Westland, the Society to assist in the hatching.--Received and complied with. From Postal Department notifying the issue of’ a game license to A. B. Spiers, Kumnra; and an opossum license to Noel O’Brien, Kokutahi.—Received. It was resolved to enquire into cases of alleged taking of game illegally. From Conservator of Forests stating Forest Rangers were now Rangers under the. Animals Protection Act and had been instructed to assist in the suppression of poaching and to report any breaches which came under their notice.—Received.

From Rex J. Dunning, Maknroa, asking names and addresses of stalkers for next season.—Received, to bo supplied.

From Valuer General giving notice of valuatnion of Hatchery property at Lake Kanicri, nt £322.—Received. From Departmept of Internal Affairs 'granting permission to trap three pairs qf opossums. —Received with thanks. From Hokitika Borough Council granting £lO 10s to the funds of the Society.—Received with thanks. From Grey District Society enquiring in respect to ova being hatched at Lake Kanieri.—Received; It was reported three lots of ova were received, one had been dealt with and two others were now hatching. From Same asking co-operation in urging a pigeon season be opened jn 1923.—Received and suggestion agreed to. From Same supplying particulars' of a new device for hatching trays to reduce time in treating the fry.—Received and action to he taken as funds permit.

From W. Fogwell, reporting for months of June and July in respect to hatching operations.—Received as satisfactory. Dr Toichelmann and Mr Mclntosh were deputed to arrange for an inspection Of of the engine placed in the Lake Knnieri launch and to take such action as may be necessary.

It was resolved to communicate with Mr Ayson in respect to ova supplied, and also to arrange for the collection of the Society’s plant. The Secretary reported as to accounts paid since last meeting, and further accounts received were passed for payment as funds permitted. Supplies of “Beautiful Westland” booklet had I eon forwarded to Christchurch ' and Wellington for sale. The meeting concluded at 8.45 p.m.
