WEST LA ND SU R- UN lON. The Sub-Union met last evening at 8 p.rii. Present: M essrs F. McGregor (chair), D. Dowell, Cutbush, Gillooly, Aldridge, Rutland, Mt-Afanaway, Steele, Sellers, Stafford, Howat, Adamson and Breeze.

FIXTURES FOR SATURDAY. The Referees Association recommended the following, which • were approved.

SENIORS. Kijvi v. Kuinara, Cass Square, No 2 ground (Air A. Cutbush, referee). Kokatalii v. United, Cass Square, No. 1 ground (Mr D. Dowell, referee). Tlie application of jf. A. Anderson for transfer from United (Grey) to Excelsiors, was granted. Mr A. Saraty wrote offering a silyer cup for seven aside tournament to ho held at Kumara. Mr Saraty to be thnpVcd for his offer, the present position to he explained.

The (Vest Coast Rugby Union wrote asking for a representative match on Sept. 9th. It was resolved that the Union offer lo play a match 011 a 1\ cdnesday.

Mr I. Steele reported a player's conduct after the (\iwi-Exeelsior senior match 011 Saturday.—Referred to Judicial Committee.

Air B. Dowell reported three players iu Kiwi-Excelsior junior match for different actions.—Referred to Judicial Committhe.

All application by Geo. Murtha for transfer from Kumara Club to Alnrist. juniors (Grey) was refused. A letter from the Boiler Union asked for a donation towards a shield for competition among the various schools. It \vas resolved to approve of the proposed competition, ail'd to recommend application to some wholesale firms doing business throughout the district inviting the donation of a ' suitable trophy. The Ladies’ Hockey Club accepted the Union’s challenge to a game on
