Sydney; Aug 10. -Arising-out of his advocacy, while; abroad, of the* introduction of colour- j ed labour into Australia, Sir Henry ; Barwell, Premier of South Australia, j is now facing a. determined no-confi-dence motion in the South Australian
Assembly. The Leader of .the Opposition (Mr Gunn) moved that the Premier (Sir Henry Barwell) had “lost the confidence of the people of the State h.V reason of his action in advocating in Australia and abroad the development of the northern parts of Australia by coloured labour, such action being a violation of the White Australia policy.” Mr Gunn said that the people of Australia were determined to maintain the White Australia policy, and wore convinced of its wisdom.
