SATURDAY’S GAMES. The results of Saturday’s games w ere : SENIORS. Kiwis 0, beat Excelsiors 3. United 8, beat Hari Ilari 0. JUNIORS. Excelsiors 9, beat Kiwis 3. Tiie Excelsior juniors now have won tilie junior championship. The senior cup points now are: ICoka•tahi 14, Excelsiors . 13, Unitcds 9, Kiwis 8, Hari Hari 5, Kiimaru 3. The weather on Saturday proved ■very wet and Cass Square cut up iota a terrible mud lio]e for the two games.

KIWTS V. EXCELSIORS. This game took place under very unfavourable conditions, but both teams handled excellently under the unfavorable conditions. Tll the first spell A. Wogart scored a try for the Excelsiors, while in the second spell Steele scored a try for Kiwis, and right on time Stevens kicked a penalty goal, winning the game for Kiwis. Mr J. Steele junr. was referee.

UNITED Y. HARI HARI. The United team journeyed to Hari Hari and after a close game were returned' victors, by 8 point's (two tries, one converted) to nil.

JUNIOR FIXTURE. Oil Cass Square, previous to the senior fixture, the Excelsior and Kiwi juniors met, tlie former whining by 9 points (two tries and a penalty goal) to 3 points (a penalty goal). ALL BLACKS V. MAORIS. WELLINGTON, August 20. The All Blacks yesterday defeated tlio Maoris by 21 points to 14. The •All Blacks proved the better side all round. The Maoris never looked like winning, though they played a fast and vigorous game. There were many casualties. For New Zealand tries were scored p y Ford (2), Steele (2), and Shearer (1). Mark Nieholls converted two and Baddeley one. For tlie Maoris, tlie bulk of tlie scoring was done in the second spell. The score at half time was, All Blacks Ifi, Maoris 3. For the Maoris tries were scored by Barclay Mill. Bell and Gcmmcll. Taiigitu converted Mill’s try.

Tile game was keenly contested. Several players on both sides had to retire. their places being filled by cino-r

gencies. The Governor-General was present. The attendance was 12,000. Mr laratri refereed.

TAR YNAKI V. WELLINGTON. WELLINGTON, August 20. In the inter-Rrovincial Rugby match Taranaki defeated Wellington by 15 points to 14. The game was played as a curtain raiser to the New ZealandMaori match. The game was fast and open one, but the combination of neither proved very effective. Wellington forwards wore superior, but the visiting backline did clever and fast work. Carelessness lost Wellington two tries.

WAIRAKAUA, V. WANGANUI. Wanganui, August 20. For tlio Rugby match, AVairnrapa v. Wanganui, played here yesterday, there was showery weather. Wairarapa won by 18 points to 13.

MOASCAR CUl\ CHRISTCHURCH, August 20. In tlio South' Island final match of the Moasear Cup, Christchurch Boys’ High School yesterday defeated St. Bede’s College by 13 points to six.

WELLINGTON V. NELSON. NELSON. Aug. 20. In the rep Rugby football match this afternoon. - Wcllingotii defeafed Nelson by 20 points to Iff. after a last and exciting game. Tlio weather was fine, tlie ground was heavy, and there was a large attendance. The Wellington backs gave a fine exhibition, handling the ball splendidly ; but the deadly tackling of Nelson kept the score down. Nelson led in the first spell liv eight points to six. Each side got two tries one of Nelson’s beiiig converted.
