An old and respected miner of the Riniti district, Mr David Davies, passed away at Westland Hospital yesterday. He was a native of Wales, 75 years of ape, and a single man. The death took place at Westland Hospital yesterday of Mrs Christina Clausen, an old and respected resident of Woodstock. Deceased was ft widow 51 years of age and leaves a family of four sons.

Since then this ; rouble seems to have spread all over Wellington, and several Government officials have to knock under to the unpleasant visitor within the last week One of the latest sufferers is the Official Assignee (Mr S. S. Tansley). who is at present confined to his bed. The newest form of influenza is prefaced by headaches and general lassitude. Neglect of the trouble is apt to bring on a form of bronchitis.
