Holy Trinity Church, Greymouth, was the scene of a pretty wedding yesterday morning, when Miss May Parfitt only daughter of the late Clement Parfitt and Mrs Parfitt. Greymouth, was married to Mr Frederick Congreve, fourth son of Mr and Mrs W. Congreve of Morivale, Christchurch. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr W. H. Parfitt, wore a costume of fawn gabardine, handsomely embroidered in gold and blue, and a hat of Mary blue ribbon and straw, with ]>etnl brim. She also wore a beautiful set of furs, the gift of tho bridegroom, and carried a bouquet of white orchids. hyacinths, and frecsias. She was attended by her niece, Miss Marie Parfitt, as bridesmaid, who wore a frock of kingfisher blue velour cloth trimmed with Oriental embroidery, hei picture hat. being' * of fawn and blue ribbon and lace straw. She wore a pendant- of aquamarines and pearls, the gift of the bridegroom and carried a bouquet of cyclamens and pale heliotrope freesias. Mr Harold Moss was tho best man. Archdeacon Carr officiated. and Miss A, Skoglund presided at the organ. The church was prettily decorated by members of the choir and girl friends of the bride.
