Princess Theatre.

HOCKEY CLUB’S ENTERTAINMENT Tliero was a good attendance at tlio Princess Theatre for the Ladies Hockey Club’s entertainment last night. The occasion was to assist in raising funds for an East Coast tour at the first favourable opportunity. The proceedings opened with a concert programme, in which the following took part, all the performers being well received and heartily applauded: Overture, McLean’s Orchestra; Song, Mr M. Coulson : Song, Miss Jones; Duet, Mrs Rowe and Miss Davidson; Mr A. Reynolds, Humorous Monologue Song, Mr L. Aldridge; Song, Miss Kelly Song, Mr F. Lovett; Duet, pianoforte Misses Coulson and Pascoe; Song, Miss D. Shand; Song, Mr J. Trippner. The first part concluded with a humorous farce “Catching a Train,” in which Mr R. Lynn excelled.

The second part was reserved for the frolics of the Dark Town Concert party. It was very bright, the chorus singing going well, and all the items were well received. A clog dance by Miss A. Me. Intosh, and Miss M. Gibbons, quite captivated the audience. The whole entertainment proved very enjoyable. Misses Daly, Giese. Coulson and Lovett wero the accompanists during the evening. Air Evans, President of the Club, returned thanks to the audience and those who had assisted for contributing to the success achieved.
