The Secretary of Labour (Mr Davis) announced that scores of mine owners who declined to attend the Cleveland Conference, now state they are willing to accept 'the terms of settlement cabled on August 15th. As the South Western district, owners have agreed In meet the union leaders on August 22nd it is expected there will be a settlement all over tbe country within a week.
