FOOTBALL
WESTLAND SUB-UNION. The Executive met last evening at 3 p.m. Present:—Messrs F. AleGreyor (chair), Sellers, Adamson, Breezo, 1). Dowell, Stafford, Butland, Cutbush .Aldridge Lynn, and Howat.
The Kiwi Club notified that Mr -Steele had been appointed proxy for Air Gillooly. No proxies being allowed, it was ruled -out.
Th© Kiwi Club wrote re referee for their match. The Chairman explained the action taken which was approved. Tt was resolved that Air H. Steele be appointed third delegate for tlie Kiwi Club and he took his seat. It was resolved that the fixtures be put on one week. Permission was granted Kumarn and Kokatahi to play a friendly match next Saturday. Resolved to play a challenge match with the Red Lion Hotel team, the insurance fund to be promoted.
It was rseolved to challenge the Ladies’ Hockey Club to a return match on the 23rd.
WEST COAST RUGBY UNION. The AVest Coast Rugby Union met last evening. It was decided to ask the Westland Sub-Union to play Grey reps at Hokitika on August 26. Tt was decided to challenge Nelson for the Seddon Shield and suggest September 9th ns the day to play them at Nelson.
