There were seventeen starters, and Loyal Irish won by two lengths. I inie 1.15. hi Victoria the Australian Steeplechase resulted as follows:—Bright Maid i. 11oainn 2. .Mountain God 3. AYini bv three elngths. Time 7.51. The New Zealand horses Alolyncanx and I’rotcm secured third places in the August Handicap at Hosehill and Ibe K nowsley Steeplechase at Caulfield respectively.
