THOUGHTS FOR THE TIMES
Lkaguk of Nations. The League of Nations is a concrete, force, a force in being, a force in course of development, working out its beneficent- position, worthy of universal support. Perfect, it is not. What human institution can be? Improvement is possible; and what human institution is exempt from that rule? Established it was, after much effort; working it is, with enlightenment and unselfishly. It ea. he said to possess many of tliq good points a concrete force established for a
high purpose ought to have. If it has not all such elements, shortcomings can surely be made good, and whatever of the unsuitable experience has brought to light can be removed. To support the League of Nations with reasonable appreciation is the best way to help in the creation of the great human determination , which is the most powerful of all the anti-war elements.
