RUPTURE POSSIBLE. (Received this day at 8 a.m.) LONDON, August 10. A "Daily Express” Paris message states the gloomy desaptehes of French correspondents accompanying M. 1 oincaire, indicate the opinion that ft rupture between France and her Allies is unavoidable. It is believed if this occurs that M. Poincaire is likely to secure a parliamentary vote of confidence, scheme of his own devising. The V “Libertc” suggests if France acts alone, she will get about twenty four million sterling from the customs, though Germany will undoubtedly take advantage of France’s isolation and French and Belgian francs and Italian lira will all depreciate.

CONFERENCE NEWS. (Received this day at 11.30 a.m.) LONDON, August 10. Mr Lloyd (ieorge remains in close touch with, M. Poincaire and other heads of delegations. It is reported they are considering a temporary moratorium for Germany over the fifteenth. Meanwhile experts will endeavour to prepare another report for submission to a further Allied Conference at the end of the' month. PARIS, August 10. A special Cabinet meeting unanimously appiovod of M. Poincaire’s policy and decided to insist on the demands and telegraphed to M. Poincaire to stand firm.

SUPPORTING LLOYD GEORGE (Received this day at 12.25 p.m.) LONDON, Aug 10. The Cabinet had a two hours’ sitting and unanimously supported Hon * Lloyd George who is having an audience with His Majesty to-night. The members of the Cabinet are remaining in London. ■
