The “Daily News” states:—The Conference is threatened with a collapse. Britam and Italy are opposed to M. Poincaire’s plan • and its acceptance, except in a completely emasculated form, is hardly conceivable . allied experts disagree, LONDON, August 8. In connection with the London Conferenco the Allied Finance Ministere and experts have been, occupied all the day in considering the practicability of M. Poincaire’s proposal • M Lasteyrie (France) strongly objected to further concessions • l>eing made Germany with respect to the moratorium as they had practically given Germany a partial moratorium while Germany had guaranteed nothing. The British members stressed the danger of n complete collapse of Germany unless they acted with extreme care. The expert? meet to-morrow morning to draw up a report. The lull conference meets in the afternoon to consider the report.
