ARAMURA FAT STOCK SALE. . The usual fortnightly fixture at the 1 above yards was held ylestenlay when 85 head of prime cattle including about I dozen springers were submitted to public competition to a very large attendance oi buyers, including i several northern butchers who have been unable to obtain supplies in their I own dsitriets. The market opened briskly and prices continued linn with a hardening tendency throughout' the sale and towards the close some buyers were left. Prices were even better than those recorded at the last fixture. Springers, however, contrary to expectation were not keenly sought for, probably owing to the uncertainty of the date of their coming into profit. Messrs W. Jeffries and Co sold as follows:—On account Mr J. Craig. ] bullock at .£!) ss; on account Mr Andrew Scott, 3 bullocks at £8 7s 6d 2 heifers at C 6 IDs, three do at £6 ss, 1 do at £5 12s Gd. 2 cows at £8 10s, 1 at do £8 ss, 2 do at • 8, 3 cows at £0 ss; on account Messrs Nolan Bros 1 hlk at £8 15s, 1 at £8 10s. 1 do at £7 15s, 3 do at £7, 2 do at £6 17s Cd, 2 cows at £B, 1 do at £7, 1 do at £5 12s Gd. 4 heifers at £6, 4 do at £5 15s. 3 do at £5 12s 6d, 4 do at £6, 3 do at £5 17s 6d, . 4 Ist calf late springers at C 5 15s; on account Mr M Purcell, 5 hlks at 17 17s Gd, 5 do at £7 12s (jo, 5 do at £7 12s fid; on account Mr W. M. Houston and Co. report:—At the above sale yesterday our entry Consisted of 28 head of fat cattle and 104 fat sheep. There was an extra attendance of buyers, with the result that competition was very keen and prices took a sharp rise of fully £2 per head on recent prices. Fat sheep a I so sold exceedingly well.. We sold r n a,ciomit of Mr T. Eeelcxfield 55 fat sheep at 23s Oil; on account of Messrs Ritchie Bros.. 49 fat sheep at 27s SKI:
