“NOMADS OF THE NORTH.” MONDAY.

More than unusual interest attaches to the announcement of the forthcoming engagement of James Olliver Curwood’s “Nomads of the North” at the Princess Theatre on Monday. All those who saw “Back to God’s Country” and “Tho River’s End,” masterpieces from the workshop of this author, realize they are justified in expecting something extraordinary in the latest picturisntion of his brand of outdors. Far North fiction. The three high-lights in. tho production are: the remarkable performance of animals including many wild ones in general and a pet bear and dog in particular; a” forest fire which is accredited in setting a new high mark in realism and thrills, and a romance of nl labsorbing qualities quite different from the ordinary run of love affairs so universal in tho movies. Tho cast which has been selected to play tire various picturesque roles in this intense drama of the wildest of God’s country includes such stars as Betty Blythe, Lou Clinney, Lewis Stone, Melborne McDowell and Spottiswood Aitken It i sa First National Attraction. A two-reel Larry Semon comedy entitled “The Country Bumpkin” will also he screened. The long looked for picture I). W. MCLEAN’S PICTURES.

Mr McLean presents a fine programme to-night. ’Flic big feature is “Handcuffs and Kisses,” starring Elaine Hammcrstein. Doris Walton’s stepmother steals her fortune, accuses her of arson, and puts her in a reformatory, where her ill-treatment causes 'a mutiny, and she is put out into a doctor’s place, whence she clears on being insulted. She meets the District Attorney, who takes her to his place, but she leaves when she finds her presence risks In's reputation. She gets a post as companion and "discovers her stepmother's character. Supports include a two reel comedy and gazette.
