The Washington Treaties. \ writer in the “Round Table’’ describes the drift of American opinion, which was most favourably impressed bv the attitude of Britain at the Washington Conference. The writer, who is an American, reviews the work of that Conference, and mentions that in America there has grown up a general feeling of antipathy to the idea of hairing more treaties, no matter whose, thrown upon the scrap-heap. Hence the promptitude with which the Senate, hitherto a doubtful quantity, ratified the seven treaties proposed by the Conference.
