MIC’RORE POISON MYSTERY. MADRID, Juno , Remarkable allegations are made ill tbe newspaper Liberal in regard to Nadia Wisziewska, tbe' Polish woman and so-called princess who lias been examined bv a magistrate in eonncc- ! lion with the mysterious death here of a young Canadian, Mr Ives Lefebvrc de Rellefenille. She told tbe magistrate that Rellefeuille.was taken suddenly ill while they were at a restaurant in Aradrid, - and that on arriving at bis residence he died from tetanus in the presence of a doctor. The doctor gave a: certificate that death was due to tontnnns, but his assistant, who also attended the patient, said that the systems were those of strychnine poisoning. This statement led to police inquiries and it was decided to exhume the body. The inquest will bo held next week. Bellefeuille’s death spent day after day, investigating the tetanus microbe in the laboratory. She said, according to the doctor’s statement, that she was helping her brother to find an anti-tetanus serum.
Dr Falco goes on to explain, the newspaper adds, tlia.i- the symptoms of tetanus are very similar to those of strychnine poisoning. .Action is equally certain and rapid, eases of recovery being very rare.
