WELLINGTON, July 29. THE COUNCIL.
Tlie Legislative Council met at 2.30 p.m. The Imprest Supply Bill was received from the House, put through all stages and passed. The Council rose at 3.42. THE HOUSE. Th.e House met at 2.30 p.m. The Minister of Customs laid on. the table a copy of the Reciprocal Agreement with Australia, and the debate was set down for Thursday next. The following Bills were read a second time : Administration of Justice Bill (Hon. Lee); Surveyors Institute and Board of Examiners Amendment Bill, j (TTon. Guthrie); and Drainage Amendment Bill (Hon Downie Stewart); Local I Bodies Loans Amendment Bill (Hon. ( Downie Stewart).
The Speaker ruled the Borough of Rotorua Bill could not be moved, because it contained a clause relating to Crown Lands, and. must first go to tbe Lands Committee.
The House rose at 9.40 p.m. till 2.30 p.m, on Tuesday.
