INQUEST VERDICT. DUNEDIN, July 28. 'The inquest was concluded this morning on Thomas Edgar Clarke, 40, found dead in bed on Monday. The evidence showed illness and depression, qnd that gas poisoning caused death. The Coroner found that deceased committed suicide in a state of mental depression, the cause of death being asphyxia following eoaj gas poisoning.
