AVELLTNGTOX, July 26. THE HOUSE. The House met at 2.30 p.m. The following hills were introduced and read a first time:—State Control of Licenses Hill (-Air McCulluin), Insurance Company Deposits Amendment Bill (lion Lee) Local Bodies Loans Amendment Bill (Moll* Stewart), Administration of Justice Bill (Hon Lee), Daylight Baking Bill (McCombs). The following Government hills were introduced hy Governors Message:— Swamp Drainage Amendment, Surveyors Institute Amendment. Rotorua Borough Bill, Compensation to AA’orkers’ Consolidation and Amendment. This latter bill was read a second time pro forma and referred to the Labour Bills Committee.

The evening sitting was occupied with discussion on .Ministers’ answers to questions. The House rose at 9.45.
