The House met at 2.1 K) p.m. Tiie debate on the Addrcss-iii-Heply was continued by Messrs Field, McComb, Anderson, Veitcli; Sir \\ in tlerries, and Hon W. F. M ussey. A ciivision on Mr Holland’s amendment was then taken. th e amendment being defeated by -13 to 9. The debate on the Addrcss-in-Re-plv was then closed and the motion that a respectful address be presented to His Excellency in reply to bis speech wa s carried without discussion. The House rose at 10.15 p.m. till 2.30 p.m. on Tuesday.
