The Sub-Union met at 8 p.m. Present—Messrs F. McGregor (chair), Sellers, D. Dowell, B. Dowell, Gillooly, Aldridge, Stafford, Breeze, Seebcck and Butland.
Mr A. Sumner reported having ordered off A. Rooney. Referred to Judicial Committee.
Mr Sutherland’s report was tabled and considered satisfactory. The Ross Club wrote requesting a refund of the affiliation fee.—Received and refused.
The Westport Rivals Club wrote asking for a junior representative match to be played at Hokitika on August sth and asking for financial assistance therefore.—Received. It was resolved that 50% of the gate be granted. Accounts amounting to £5 Is 6d were passed for payment. Apologies for absence were made for Messrs Cutbush and Lynn. FIXTURES FOR SATURDAY. The following fixtures were approved : SENIORS. Kokatahi v. TTnri Hari at Hari Hari. —Mr A. Sutherland. Kutnara v. Excelsiors at Hokitika.— Mr D. R. Dowell. Kiwis and United byes. JUNIORS.

Excelsiors v. Rimu, at Riinu.—Mr T. Gillooly. A discussion took place over control of referees and rough play, and ultimately tho subject was adjourned to enable the referees to be present. It was resolved that Union officials attending a match noticing rough play notify the referee and failing his taking any notice, the official to report to the Union.
The Kiwi Club protested against tlie United Club playing Little and suggested that the game be replayed. Mr Butland (United) stated he wns only picked up on the line to fill a vacancy and they were quite agree able to replay tlie match. It was resolved that the match he replayed at a later date.

CARTERTON, July 19. The All Blacks team met the Wairarapa reps at Cartciton this afternoon. The ground was greasy, as rain fell overnight and there were light showers this morning. The attendance was about 4000. The All Blacks team was as follows: Full-back : Bell.
Three-quarters : Steel (Captain), Bar delcy and Ford. Five-eighths: Fitzgerald and M. X cholls.
i.alf-hack: Mathicson. Wing-forward: J. Donald. Forwards: White, Smvthe, Cupples Masters, "Richardson, O’Brien and Williams.

The game opened briskly, Wairarapa

From a rebound defensive kick, J. Donald scored, and F. Booth converted the try. The All Blacks then rushed the play to the Wairarapa territory, where Bacon got. off side, and gave Nicbolls a chance at the goal, hut the place kick failed.
Wairara(>a thou rushed the play to tho All Black ground, where a pass to Carson was caught on tlie toe and by fast following up Carson scored. F. Booth’s kick at goal hit the bar.
The played continued to fast, Wairarapa having the best of a hard game. Two minutes from half time, Booth the Wairarapa full hack, came up to participate ia a dashing rush. Carson however, missed a pass and Ford rushed through with tho ball at his toe, and carried play light to the Wairarapa end where he was tackled. However Richardson picked the hall up and scored. Nioholls again failed with the kick. Tlie spell thus ended: Wairarapa 8. All Blacks 3.
When the second half opened, the All Blacks became aggressive, hut the attack after attack was staved off by the Wairarapa tackling. A mark gave Mathicson a chance to goal, but he failed.
E. Booth later marked a long kick, hut tho kick wns charged down. Smyth got possession and he scored. Nicliujfe failed to convert. Wairarapa 8; AB Blacks 6.
Wairnrapa now rushed the piny into All Black territory, and there was some pretty passing between It. Booth and Juno, which ended in the latter scoring in the corner. Knowles failed to convert-. Wairnrapa 11; All Blacks 6. G. Donald was hurt for a few minutes. Then followed some extraordinary play. Fitzgerald marked the ball off the too right under the ’Wairnrapa goal three consecutive times. The first two kicks at goal were charged down. His third kick lie punted high, but a timely mark bv Booth averted the danger, the return being taken by Jury who found the line. The All Blacks now pressed strenuously and Wairnrapa were forced. A free kick was awarded the All Blacks in front of the goal and this time Ni-
cholls added 3 points. Wairarapa 11; All Blacks 9. There were only two minutes to go, when with a loose rush the All Blacks carried the play to the Wairarapa line. There .T. Donald picked it up and scored. Steel failed with the kick. The whistle then sounded with tho scores All Blacks 12, Wairarapa 11.
