The death of Mrs Ellen Louisa Tottenham, took place at Westport oil Saturday at midday after a comparatively brief illness. Deceased was good worker in connection with various sporting institutions and did invalii. able work on behalf of the Surf Club. She was a native of Nelson. 54 years of age. She is survived by one son, Mi George Tottenham, mirier, a nianie.l daughter. Mrs J. Haitigan. two sisters -ilesdames J. Brown and A, McDowell and one brother. Mr G. May.

Joe Rawiri, with a burly mop of bail- almost as prolific in growth as some of the followers of Rtia. was

brought up at the Wanganui Court and duly remanded. In conversation Joe remarked (states the “Herald”); ‘•f’v corrv, to two fingers very sore.”
