DOCTOR’S WIFE KILLED.
BARIS, May 17. The French police who have been searching for Marie Zenobie Olivier, the cook, who, it is alleged, yesterday killed her mistress, Mine. Bernard, a doctor’s wife, as she was sitting playing the piano, have not yet arrested her. Marie Olivier recently ■ had seemed somewhat strange in her manner, and had complained of violent pains in her head. Apparently yesterday she was eairving wood for use in the drawing room fire. Her mistress was seated at the piano. It seems that Marie Olivier walked lip behind Mine. Bernard and struck the First blow on the head with a log of wood. Mine. Bernard must have struggled to her feet and run towards her dressing-room. There another struggle seems to have taken place. Mine. Bernard, as shown by the signs left of the struggle, then made for the hall-way. She was found dead close to the outer door with a crushed skull and terrible body injuries. Five minutes later, fully dressed, Ala lie Olivier went out and has not been seen since.
