Point Marion, in Pennsylvania, reports that two striking miners were killed, and one badly wounded in pitched battles between the coal strikers and the deputy sheriffs protecting mine property there. President Harding and Hon "Weeks (Secretary 'for War) have held a consultation regarding reports that mails are held up in various parts of the west, owing to the strike of railwaymen. The United States Marshalls have been instructed to protect the mails, and to further their despatch at all costs.
