(Reprinted from The Sun, Wednesday, May 31st, 1922. Mr A. J. W. Young, well-known motorist of Irwell, writes as follows to Adams Ltd., N.Z. Importers of Studehaker Cars, about his trip in an Economy Light “Six” Studehaker to Dunedin and rettirn—a distance of nearly 500 milos: — Messrs Adams, Ltd. Irwell, May 24, 1922. Christchurch. Dear Sirs,—lt is with mircli pleasure that I give you the following testimonial in connection with the Light “Six” Studehaker car which I purchased from your firm a few months ago. I hare now driven my Light “Six” about 1200 miles, and up to date I hare not had a stop, and I have not yet used half a gallon of oil. On a recent trip to Dunedin and return T was delighted with the way the little car behaved, and tile flexibility of the “Six” cylinder engine and the way the ear .took the hills was a revelation tome. I had only to change gears once on the whole trip, and on the return journey the roads were especially had. I used the car a great deal in Dunedin, and would like to say that T did not have to change to second gear once on any of the hills round about the town. On my return journey I had an absolutely iron-stop run with the Economy “Six” and after leaving Timaru I made a very fast trip to my home in Irwell, doing the distance in three hours, which was a very fine performance for a lit'tle car. X carefully .worked out ray petrol onnsijuiotion for the above trip, and it estimated about 21 miles to the gallon, which I think is very creditable when one takes into consideration the number of .small trips, averaging from three to five miles, which were made by me round-about Dunedin. I would also like to add that the Sttidobaker Economy Light “Six” hangs to the road quite as well as other cars I have driven, weighing from fiewt to 7cwt more. In conclusion, I would like to say that all the other cars I have £ owned and driven have been “Four” cylinder models, and in my opinion there is no comparison between the flexibility of the “Four” cylinder engine and the Studehaker Light “Six.” (Signed) A. J. W. YOUNG. THE PRICE OP THIS WONDERFUL CAR IS £550, FOR FURTHER. INFORMATION SEE THE LOCAL AGENTS. Clements Motors Ltd., Westland Agents for Studebaker Cars.
