A FRENCH MISSION. (Received this day at 11.30 a.m.) LONDON, duly 3. Advice from Marseilles state A'dmira Hilly when he assumes the command o: the'Atlantic flying squadron cruisers Victor Hugo and Jules Ferry on the 15th, will proceed on a nine months cruise of the world, visiting Australia and New Zealand. The Ministers of Foreign Affairs, commercial, colonies, and public works and principal French Chambers of Commerce will be represented on both vessels, as the mission will also be of a military, economic, colonial and industrial character.

The Quest resumed voyage on Thursday, en route to England. She visits the island of South Trinidad on scientific exploration and expects to arrive in England in three months.

A meeting of radio telegraphists representing Belgium, Denmark, Bhtain, Greece, Holland and Italy resolved to form an International Federation. A resolution was adopted demanding the fixing of an International manning scale, the abolition of (lonted Labour and acquisition of English and French languages by operators, WAR TRIAL. Received'this day at 12.25 p.m.) BERLIN, July 3. Leipzig Supreme Court acquit Michelson, the Berlin doctor, who was accused of ill-treating French prisoners in German hospitals in war-time. Ihe prosecutors demanded a sentence of a year’s imprisonment. I Mrs Doherty, widow of an American ! engineer was killed during the riots. j
