; ECONOMY MOTORING. (Reprinted from Tire Sun, Wednesday, May 31st, 1922. Mr A J. W. Young, well-known motorist of Trwell, writes as follows to Adams Ltd., N.Z. Importers of Studebaker Cars, about bis trip in an Economy Light “Sis” Studebaker to Dunedin and return —a distance of nearly 500 miles:— \fessrs Adams, Ltd. Irwell, May 24, 1922. Christchurch. Dear Sirs, —It is with much pleasure that I give you the following testimonial in connection with the Light “Six” Studebaker car which I purchased from your firm a few months ago. I have driven my Light “Six” about 1200 miles, and up to date I have not had a Btop, and I have not yet used half a gallon of oil. On a recent trip to Dunedin and return I was delighted With .the way the little car behaved, and tbe flexibility of the "Six ’ cylinder engine and the way the car took the hills was a revelation to me. , I had only to change gears once' on the whole trip, and on the return journey tbe roads were especially bad. I used tbe car a groat deal in Dunedin, and would like to say that T did not have to change to second gear once on any of tile hills round about the town. On_my return journey I had an absolutely non-stop run with the Economy “Six” and after leaving Tirnaru I made a very fast trip to my in Irwell, doing tbs distance in. three hours, which was a very fine performance for a little car. I carefully worked out my petrol consumption for the above trip, and it estimated about 21 miles to the gallon, which I think is very ci editable when one takes into consideration the number of small trips, averaging from three to five miles, which were round about Dunedin. I would also like to add that the Studebaker Economy Light “Six” bangs to tbe road, quite as well as other cars I have driven, weighing from fiewt to 7cwt more. In conclusion, I would liko to say that all the other cars I have owned and driven have been IJ Four” cylinder models, and in my opuiion there is no comparison between the' flexibility of the “Four*’ cylinder engine and the Studebaker Light “Six.” (Signed) A. J. W. YOUNG. THE PRICE OF THIS WONDERFUL CAR IS £550. roil FURTHER INFORMATION SEE THE LOCAL AGENTS. Clements Motors Ltd., Westland Agents far Studebaker Cars.
