* ECONOMY MOTORING. - (Reprinted from The Sun, Wednesday, May 31 st, 1 1922. Mr A ,T. W. Young, well-known motorist of Irwell, writes follows to Adams Ltd., N.Z. Importers of Studebaker Cars, about his trip in an Economy Light “Six” Studebnker to Dunedin and return —a distance of nearly 500 miles t Messrs Adams,‘Ltd. Irwell, May 24, 1922. Christchurch. Dear Sirs,—lt is with much pleasure that T give yqu the following testimonial in connection witli tho Light “Six” Studebaker car which I purchased from your firm a few months ago. I have now driven my Light “Six” about 1200 miles, and up to date I have not had a stop, and I have not yet used half a gallon of oil. On a recent trip to Dunedin and return T was delighted with the way the little car behaved, and the flexibility of tho “Six” cylinder engine and the way the car took the hills was ft revelation to me. I had only to change gears once on the whole trip, and on the return journey the roads were especially bad. I used tho car a great deal m Dunedin, and would like to say that 1 did not have to change to second gear once on any of tile bills round about the town. On my return journey I had an absolutely non-stop run with the Economy “Six” and after leaving Timaru I made a very fast trip to my home in Irwell, doing the distance in three hours, which was a very fine performance for a little car. T carefully worked out my.petrol consumption for the above trip, and it estimated about 21 miles to the gallon, which I think is very creditable when one takes into consideration the number of small trips, averaging from three to five miles, which were made by me round about Dunedin. I would also like to add that the Studebaker Economy Light “Six” hangs to the road, quite as well as other cars I have driven, weighing from 6cwt to 7cwt more. In conclusion, I would like to say dhat all the other cars.X havS owned and driven have been “Four,’?.' cylinder models, and,in my,opinion there is no comparison between the , flexibility of the “Four” cylinder engine and the Studebaker Light “Six.” (Signed) A. J. W. YOUNG. THE PRICE OF THIS 'WONDERFUL CAR IS £550. FOR FURTHER INFORSIATION SEE THE LOCAL AGENTS.
