LABOR CONFERENCE.
(Received this day at 9.50 n.m.) LONDON, June 20 The Labour Conferences resolutioned against an alliance or electoral arrangement by any section of the I,i 1 icr.l 1 oi Conservative party. Mr Williams (Transporter) in moving the resolution said it, would he a lamentable error if the Labour Party was again associated with Lloyd George. A resolution declaring against Labour members being Privy Councillors was defeated heavily. Air Arthur Henderson hoped n Privy Councillorsliip would be the only honour that man ever accepted. It was the only pure honour given the people. Mr Henderson complained about the way the resolution was introduced. Was this a side issue to raise the question of Republicanism. Mr Thomas advised tho people who wanted to make a. clear issue, that Labour stood for a Republic, to take the chance at the ballot box. I am certain you will ho met by a verdict that these people are weakening the Labour movement. _____
