The sales continue with somewhat better eompetilion, but cross-bred is still irregular, and prices show no improvement.
About 250,000 cases of Australian fruit were discharged this week. The prices range irom 2s lid to 8s poi ease. Tile consignment of fruit bv the Zealnndie, with the exception of Kturmers, was wasty, and several varieties have had to he surveyed. Earlier varieties such as Jonathans. London Pippin and Delicious, are difficult to sd on account of their shrivelled condition, and arc meeting strong competition from English suit fruit. Sales so far arc only moderate.
